LINEAR RECIEVES MANUFACTURING COMPANY OF THE YEAR AWARD
AT LOCAL INDUSTRY AWARDS PRESENTION
Colorado Springs, CO (October 22, 2012) – Linear was recognized as the Manufacturing Company of the Year at the seventh annual Excellence in Local Industry Awards ceremony sponsored by the Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance. Five other companies, a team of business leaders and Pikes Peak Community College were also honored. About 150 people the Excellence in Local Industry Awards ceremony held at the Broadmoor Hotel on October 16, 2012.
The Manufacturing Company of the Year Award is presented to a manufacturing or construction company that has invested and innovated in energy efficiencies and environmental improvements, among other areas of manufacturing. Linear won this award because they employ some of the area’s most highly skilled electronic industry workers and because of their constant improvements to not only achieve, but to exceed, industry standards.
Jay Palace, Founder and President of Linear, said, “I am very honored to accept this prestigious award and I give all the credit to my employees who work as a team to make us successful”.
Other honorees received awards including Corporate Social Responsibility Award, Business Climate Award, Company to Watch Award, Pioneer Award, Local Industry Chairperson Award, Industry Team Cluster Award, and the Master of Ceremonies Innovation Award.
Linear Manufacturing has been based in Colorado Springs for 17 years. Linear is a contract manufacturer for electronic circuit board assemblies and serves clients in many market segments for original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) including water treatment controllers, aerospace assemblies and medical devices.
