Products are continuously tested during the assembly process to ensure that the products we manufacture are up to your stringent quality standards. We use computers throughout our assembly process to ensure that each specification in the test-plan is within the specifications, and the data can be recorded or sent along with the product.

By using semi-automatic and automatic insertion equipment and ensuring proper tape-and-reel component purchasing, we deliver timely and low-cost solutions. Linear offers both automated and hand assembling of through-hole components.

We also make use of computer aided manufacturing to clearly map component placement for each workstation. Our assembly lines support both simple and complex board assemblies.

Surface-Mount Assembly

We deliver high quality surface-mount technology (SMT) products through the use of modern, well-maintained SMT lines that are operated by trained professionals. Our SMT lines are capable of handling:

  • Both low and high volume throughput
  • Single- and double-sided component placement
  • Mixture of SMT automatic and manual component assemblies
  • SMT capabilities down to 0.0402, with plans to bring new equipment on line to the 0.0201 level
  • Fine Pitch placing
  • BGA work and rework  

We also employ statistical process control methods and techniques to analyze the cause of a defect, so that we can minimize/eliminate the defects in our assemblies.
